A14 - Highways Agency Exhibition held 12 January 2007

The Highways Agency Exhibition held in the Church Centre was extremely well attended. Whilst the HA were not prepared to allow the register to be inspected, they willingly confirmed that over 370 persons signed in and that this excluded many who either declined or preferred to go straight in. Interestingly, the HA said only a few persons from outside the parish, [Cambridge and Fen Drayton] signed in, and that the Fenstanton event had the highest attendance of all the exhibitions, so hopefully the message is beginning to become clear.

Jonathon Djanogly MP attended as promised, albeit for a brief visit, but there was no doubt from the throng of bodies that Fenstanton means business.

Further discussion with the HA revealed that completed questionnaires are VERY keenly sought, which they volunteered are intended 'per person' and not 'per household'. They are making boxes of spare copies available for the Public Meeting [25th January at 7:30 p.m. Church Centre] so that any resident can complete further questionnaires, if so minded. The HA's comments were independently confirmed by several Parish Councillors who were told the same.
