Over the years an enormous amount of material has been amassed and added to the substantial amount of information passed over by Jack Dady.
Most of it is pre-digital and has required very careful scanning and transcription, both very time-consuming activities.
The documents extend back several centuries and whilst some are of little general interest they do contain nuggets of information that can often surprise. They can appeal to anyone with an interest in local history and can assist in understanding daily life in the village. Perhaps most important are the hand-written Parish Council Minutes which started on 31st December 1894.
These and other documents will be gradually released over time as and when they become available.
