Working together can make this crisis more bearable for all.
Let’s do something positive!
👉Could you collect shopping for someone?
👉Collect a prescription?
👉Give someone a call to reduce social isolation?
Please send a PM or call our office with your mobile number, area you can cover and email address, we’ll do the rest
We have set up a group in Fenstanton, we need more help.
👉Would you like to volunteer?
👉Do you know of anyone locally needing help during this crisis?
👉Do you have a DBS?
Please get in touch.
** this is for volunteers only and is not a charged or paid for service**
Fenstanton Parish Church

Telephone Rev Rosie Tallowin, Rector and Pioneer Minister
If at any point in the next weeks or months you find that you have to self-isolate and need someone to help in some way,
eg collect essential groceries, speak on the phone, collect a prescription, we will endeavour to help!
If you would like to stay in touch with us, as your local church, for prayer and spiritual support, then we have lots of ideas to help people stay connected, or pray at home.
Perhaps you want to find out more about the Christian faith. As a resident of the village, your parish church is here for you.
We want to assure you that the church community remembers and prays for those who are in any kind of need.
Please contact Rev Rosie or the churchwardens in the first instance, if you would like prayer, or to speak on the phone or support in some way and they will do their best to help you, including putting you in touch with the right person who might be co-ordinating the particular help you have asked for.
A food collection point is being introduced in Ash’s.
St Ives Foodbank:
The Parish Church is working closely with the St Ives Foodbank and will endeavour to support any person or family who finds themselves in a difficult situation.
If you usually use the St Ives Foodbank, or need to find out more then please contact;
Rev Rosie Tallowin 01480 467393 email [email protected]
or churchwarden Philip Blunt 01480 461751 who will endeavour to put you in contact with the right person.

Great News
As of Monday 15th June we will once more be open for you to come into the shop to purchase your requirements.
THERE ARE NOW 3 WAYS TO SHOP
OPTION 1
You can come down to the shop and browse the counters, make your choices and shop as you’ve always done.
At present this will be on a 1 in 1 OUT basis as before.
(Parents with small children are welcome)
There are two hand sanitiser stations for your convenience, one in the porch and one just inside the door should you require them. We have also placed two screens along the counter to assist at the point of payment, the floor is marked to help with social distancing all to help keep you safe as per current shopping guidelines.
OPTION 2
We will continue to offer our delivery service, you can call as you have been doing, place your order, once it’s ready we will call you back and take payment, then deliver it to your door whilst observing social distancing.
OPTION 3
Those that have been collecting orders can continue to do so, pre order as before, we will call you back when your orders ready for collection.
Hopefully as lockdown eases further we will all enjoy getting back to something closer to normality.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all and to say that we will continue to support all our customers as you choose your shopping options

Ron’s Farm Shop

· We want to stay open to serve all our customers during this difficult period.
· We need to keep all of you, plus ourselves, as safe as we can.
· We need to keep our distance from one another and avoid undue common contact.
· We need you to shop sensibly, safely and just for your weekly needs.
To these ends we have thought long and hard and have taken the following measures:
· The ‘open’ courtyard area of the shop will be closed to the general public so no browsing, picking up and putting down etc.
· Bank cards are now accepted and where possible, contact-less taken. We will accept cheques from clients known to us. Wherever possible we wish to avoid cash sales.
· We will take orders at the gate. You can either: pop a list of what you need into a new box to be provided outside, or you can come to the gate during open hours and pass your list to one of us if available.
· We shall endeavour to fulfil your orders where possible.
· Your order must be written (legibly) including your name and contact number. We will let you know when you can pick up the shopping and pay.
· Anyone housebound or self-isolating can phone in their order to 01480 495127 between the hours of 8am and 5pm (there is an Ansafone). PLEASE use this service sparingly and ONLY if you cannot get here otherwise.
Gate-opening times will be subject to change depending on our experience. Currently they will be:
SUN 8:30am – 12:30pm
MON Closed
TUE-THUR 8:30am – 2:00pm
FRI 8:30am – 5:00pm
SAT 8:30am – 2:00pm
PLEASE bear with us and be patient – we might take longer than you would otherwise wish.
PLEASE understand that these measures are for ALL our benefits.
PLEASE order what you need for the week NOT what you WANT – fresh veg doesn’t keep forever!
PLEASE let’s pull together, respect our community and ALL do our bit for one another! Can deliver for those in the village self-isolating.

Working closely with partners to call upon people across the county to get in touch if they can volunteer their time to help others in a co-ordinated effort, which will offer safe support and reassurance county and city wide.
People who are already part of support groups in their community are being asked to continue to do so. Residents who want to help but are not sure where their skills can be best used, can get in touch with the hub.
The virtual hub – staffed by a range of council workers – will manage offers of help, thereby maximising support for communities, working alongside existing voluntary and community organisation partners. The hub will link offers of help from volunteers, with over 70s and others who fall within the vulnerable groups listed by the Government, who have been advised to self-isolate.
